Overview Of Treatment

We are using two types of treatment methods which can be applied separately or combined, QST massage and Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. The balance between the sympathetic and the parasympathetic nervous system will be restored by applying moderate pressure to the body and head or by the use of Acupuncture.
This treatment will help regulate dopamine levels.
Dopamine is a neurotransmitter which impacts memory, attention and problem solving. Once dopamine levels are regulated, new memories of touch can be created as a pleasant sensation and stored as pleasant memory, which will allow for easier communication and less frustration. The child will be more accepting of the way touch is usually perceived.

This will allow the child to have a clearer perception of others and will be perceived by others in a more normal manner and therefore addressing one of the primary symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) of social communication and interaction.
As well as dopamine being regulated, treatment will also increase serotonin levels.
Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that regulates aggression, appetite, sleep and the intestines as well as elimination of toxins. By balancing dopamine and serotonin, cortisol levels will naturally balance and the stress will decrease.

This treatment can be applied to children of all levels of autism, sensory processing disorder, ADHD, ADD, but also those sensitive to their surroundings, children having problems with digestion, sleep, anxiety and stress.
